Who we are

FADV works to “bridge the gaps” that exist for survivors and service providers across the state. 99% of victims say they experienced financial abuse yet service providers do not have funding that  addresses financial barriers. That is where FADV comes in; we provide emergency financial assistance to victims who are in the process of leaving a violent relationship. Our programs and funding are UNIQUE in Utah. We are a case manager’s last resort when all other options have been exhausted. FADV works with over 20 organizations in the state and the demand on our unique programs is overwhelming. Housing First and Flex Fund exhaust their monthly budgets within minutes of opening. Frequent requests: security deposits, application fees, rent & utility assistance, car repairs and insurance, healthcare & legal bills, childcare, etc.

FADV’s history

Fight Against Domestic Violence (FADV) was founded in February 2017 by a group of passionate individuals determined to combat domestic violence through improved education, awareness, resources, and outreach. During their time in the cosmetics industry and hearing the stories of women and friends throughout their network, FADV’s founders came to the realization that much more work and resources are needed to build up the domestic violence safety-net in communities throughout Utah.
