Brooke Muir
Executive Director
Brooke Muir is the Executive Director of Fight Against Domestic Violence (FADV), Utah’s only nonprofit dedicated exclusively to raising funds to bridge critical financial gaps faced by domestic violence service providers and victims. Under her leadership, FADV has become a trusted resource and a catalyst for collaboration, supporting Utah’s 15 domestic violence service organizations and working alongside key partners such as A Bolder Way Forward and the Utah Domestic Violence Coalition.
Brooke joined FADV at its inception in 2017 as Program Director and was appointed Executive Director in 2019. She has played a pivotal role in transforming the organization from a grassroots startup into a recognized leader in advocacy and financial support for survivors. Her commitment to fostering strong, strategic relationships with service providers has enabled FADV to build a robust network that delivers vital resources where traditional funding falls short.
A champion for changing how communities confront intimate partner violence, Brooke spearheaded the launch of the Dear Utah campaign in October 2024. This initiative provides a platform for survivors, law enforcement, healthcare professionals, advocates, and family members to share their stories and amplify public discourse around domestic violence. She believes that removing the stigma and secrecy surrounding family violence requires collective action from nonprofits, corporations, and individuals alike.
Brooke’s spare time is spent as a professional cheerleader and taxi service for her three children. She loves to run the trails, eat the amazing street food, and dreams of traveling. Brooke’s weakness? Dance floors and a good beat.
